76-Year-Old Woman Accused of Killing Ex-Husband and His 40-Year-Old Girlfriend in Georgia

October 23, 2026 By Sheba James Gala
A 76-year-old woman in the United States has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly fatally shooting her ex-husband and his younger girlfriend in Georgia.

The suspect, identified as Grace Edge, is accused of killing her former husband, Wallace Truman Edge, 75, and his girlfriend, Pamela Cook, 40, at a home on McNatt Falls Road in Uvalda, Toombs County, on Monday, October 19, 2026. Authorities said the suspect allegedly entered the residence and opened fire.

According to the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office, Cook’s mother, Diane Cook, 55, was also inside the home during the incident. She reportedly called emergency services and was injured during the attack but survived.

Sheriff Jordan Kight said Grace and Wallace Edge had been divorced for more than a decade but reportedly maintained an on-and-off relationship. Investigators believe the situation changed after Wallace began dating Cook, a relationship the suspect allegedly struggled to accept.
Authorities said Grace Edge surrendered herself shortly after the incident. She faces seven charges, including two counts of malice murder, two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. She remains in custody as the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office also disclosed that police had previously received multiple reports of domestic disputes involving the former couple, although no arrests had been made in connection with those earlier incidents. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.
