A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Goodness Sokoh, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison in the United Kingdom after being convicted of multiple sexual offences involving four teenage girls.
Sokoh, who resides in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, was sentenced at Amersham Law Court on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, following a unanimous jury verdict finding him guilty of 10 offences. These included three counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault by penetration, two counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act and one count of inciting a child into sexual activity.
According to Thames Valley Police, Sokoh contacted the four girls through Snapchat between October 31 and December 17, 2025, using the username “GWDY_SXNGS”. He allegedly lured them to meet him in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, by offering them free vapes and cannabis before committing the offences.
During sentencing, Judge Catherine Tulk said Sokoh had groomed the girls to gain their trust and expose them to danger. The judge also noted that none of the victims had wanted sexual activity with him.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sokoh was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and given a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the four victims.
Detective Constable Natalie Palmer of Thames Valley Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit praised the girls for their courage and determination throughout the investigation and trial. She also acknowledged the support provided by their families.
Police said they had not ruled out the possibility of additional victims and urged anyone with relevant information to contact Thames Valley Police.
