Rivers Councillor Marries Two Women in Same-Day Traditional Ceremony

A Ward 5 councillor of the Andoni Legislative Council in Rivers State, Hon. Iyeoron Rowland Brown, has married two women in a traditional marriage ceremony held on the same day.

The ceremony took place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Community Primary School Field in Asuk-Ama Town, Andoni Local Government Area.

The councillor, who also serves as Deputy House Leader of the 10th Andoni Legislative Council, reportedly celebrated the traditional marriages with Miss Ugwem Fortunatus Acra and Miss Sylverline Ugbana Williams.

Family members, friends, community leaders and well-wishers attended the ceremony, which has since attracted attention on social media.
